Upgrade city’s light vehicle fleet

Description: In June of 2017, the city and county of San Francisco, CA passed an ordinance to upgrade the city-owned light vehicle fleet to zero emission vehicles by 2022. It will also study a subsequent move into zero emission light duty trucks and passenger vans. Possible training opportunities for drivetrain maintenance on alternative fuel vehicles and zero emissions vehicles will be explored.

Goal: Upgrade city’s light vehicle fleet to zero emission vehicles

Measurement: Achieve 100% conversion to zero emission vehicles by end of year 2022

Time to Implement: Five years
